Zebulon Wins Coveted Tourism Award

Simply Southern Tourism Association, Inc., a Georgia non-profit corporation organized to serve as a catalyst to enhance economic and community growth thru the promotion and development of tourism within the Mid-Central Georgia / South of Atlanta area recently presented representatives of Zebulon with the highly coveted Tourism Friendly Community of the Year Award for 2007.

“For Zebulon to receive the Tourism Friendly Community of the Year Award is quite a remarkable accomplishment. This surely serves as a testament to the fact that Zebulon city leaders and officials recognize that economic development is ignited by tourism being in the forefront,” remarked, Matthew Stafford, Vice President of the association. Zebulon has hosted several motor coach tours that Simply Southern Tourism Association, Inc. brings to the south Atlanta area.

Simply Southern Tourism Association, Inc. is a Georgia nonprofit corporation and is organized to serve as a catalyst to enhance economic and community growth through the promotion and development of tourism within the Mid-Central Georgia / South of Atlanta area.

Founded in 2005, the association developed from area business leaders, individuals, and governmental representatives who saw an opportunity to enhance the state's efforts at promoting and developing tourism in the "Simply South of Atlanta" area. The association represents the following 13 counties in GA: Butts, Clayton, Coweta, Fayette, Henry, Jasper, Lamar, Meriweather, Monroe, Pike, Spalding, Troup and Upson.
