Statement from Sen. Mullis on Storm Damage in Northwest Georgia

State Sen. Jeff Mullis (R-Chickamauga) released the following statement today regarding the recent storm damage to Northwest Georgia:

“My prayers go out to the families of the victims of this devastating storm, and to those who have lost their homes and possessions amid the widespread destruction.

“I’m extremely grateful to the local officials and emergency workers for their search and rescue efforts to help the victims of this tragic event. I have directed state agencies to focus their resources in the areas of Northwest Georgia that have been hit particularly hard, including the City of Ringgold and Catoosa County, the City of Trenton and Dade County, as well as Walker and Chattooga counties. These areas need all the search and rescue help that they can get, and I’m confident that our emergency personnel will do everything they can to assist every victim.”
