Urgent Update on Inaugural Events

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning and therefore all nonessential Inaugural activities have been canceled for Monday, January 10th. Neither the Prayer Breakfast at Mount Paran nor the Celebration at Philips Arena will be held.

The swearing-in ceremonies for all Georgia constitutional officers will still take place inside the state Capitol on the floor of the House of Representatives. Gov.-elect Deal encourages you to stay off the roads and watch the ceremony live on Georgia Public Broadcasting at 2:30 p.m.

You may also watch it streamed on the internet at http://www.dealinaugural.com/tv.php. We will not have seating available for the general public or ticket holders inside the Capitol. If you have tickets for the swearing-in ceremony, and you still wish to attend, we will have indoor seating at the Georgia Freight Depot to view the ceremony through live feed.

All tickets purchased for the Inaugural Celebration will be refunded via your method of payment. There is no need to contact our office to request a refund. We will make every effort to get refunds to you in a timely manner, but please understand that we will be processing thousands of refunds.

Thank you and be safe.
