Nobel laureate and former President Jimmy Carter will give the opening address this week at "Advancing the Consensus," a conference at Emory University School of Law celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Free tickets are still available to Carter's keynote speech at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16 in Glenn Memorial Auditorium. Visit the Dobbs University Center ticket desk or sign up online.
Also speaking will be Nobel laureate and Iranian human rights activist Shirin Ebadi and Upendra Baxi, professor of law Warwick University of Coventry, England.
