Governor Perdue Announces Judicial Appointments

Governor Sonny Perdue announced today the following judicial appointments:
· Larry A. Baldwin, III – State Court, Hall County. The vacancy was created with the passage of HB 1456 during the 2008 legislative session.
· Jason T. Harper – State Court, Henry County. The vacancy was created with the passage of HB 1099 during the 2008 legislative session.

Brief biographies are provided below:
Larry A. Baldwin, III, 39, Murrayville, GA – Baldwin currently serves as Hall County Solicitor General. He is the vice president of the board for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hall County and was chosen as the Gainesville Jaycees’ 2008 Young Man of the Year. Baldwin received his bachelor’s degree from The Florida State University and a Juris Doctrate degree from Emory School of Law. He and his wife, Elisabeth, have twin daughters.

Jason T. Harper, 35, McDonough, GA – Harper is a partner with Crumbley & Harper P.C., and serves as Chairman of the Henry County Board of Commissioners. He is a board member for Noah’s Ark Animal Rehabilitation Center, and serves on the board of directors for the Henry County Chamber of Commerce. Harper was a 2007 recipient of the NAACP President’s Award. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Mercer University and a Juris Doctrate degree from Georgia State University. He and his wife, Emily, have three sons.
