Donan Engineering's Southeastern U.S. Expansion Continues

PRNewswire -- Donan Engineering Co., Inc. today (July 2, 2008) announced plans to expand their forensic engineering and fire investigation operations into Atlanta, Georgia. Donan will begin offering forensic investigative services throughout Georgia from their new Atlanta office on August 1, 2008. This new office will provide the state of Georgia with a local, single-source provider for forensic engineering and fire investigations.

"Our strategic plan for "Growth by Design" continues with our newest office opening in Atlanta," says Lyle Donan, President. "With our recent office openings in Birmingham and Mobile, AL, and with our current presence in Nashville and Knoxville, TN, the Atlanta market simply makes sense as our next service market. We believe that our price structure and commitment to exceptional customer service will allow us to be highly competitive. Everything we do regarding our growth is done around the premise of providing our customers with service and value in markets where we feel we've got a competitive advantage. Atlanta is no exception to this rule, as we have been routinely asked when we will be opening a location in Georgia for many years. When our clients speak, we listen and react accordingly if it means we have the opportunity to better meet their business needs."

Donan Engineering offers consumers a single source for investigating forensic engineering and fire origin and cause matters. The firm offers a wide array of services falling under the main categories of structural engineering investigations, fire and explosion origin & cause, roofing investigations, vehicle accident reconstruction, and component testing laboratory services.

Donan Engineering is a third generation family owned engineering firm that was founded in 1947 in Madisonville, Kentucky. From 1947 until 1999, the firm focused primarily on providing mostly conventional engineering services (civil, structural, environmental, architecture, etc.). In 1999, with approximately 20 employees in four offices, the decision was made to focus exclusively on the forensic engineering and fire investigation industry.

The firm is now headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky. Including Atlanta, it now has over 100 employees operating from 18 offices in nine states. From these locations the firm completed approximately 9,500 forensic investigations in 2007 for a client base consisting primarily of insurance companies, attorneys, commercial property owners and businesses, manufacturers, utilities and homeowners.
