Philips Arena to Open Doors Early Saturday for Hawks-Magic Game

Fans will be permitted to enter at 5:30 p.m., key Southeast Division contest set for start at 7 p.m., $1 food specials (hot dogs, popcorn and soft drinks) from 5:30-6 p.m.

The Atlanta Hawks are recommending that fans arrive early for tomorrow’s (March 22nd) game against the Orlando Magic, as those with tickets will be able to enter Philips Arena at 5:30 p.m. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

With the on-going repairs to the downtown area following last Friday’s tornado, and coupled with the fact that repairs to the CNN Center atrium have closed the food court area, fans coming early to Saturday’s key Southeast Division matchup will be able to purchase Philips Arena concession specials – hot dogs, popcorn and soft drinks – for $1 from 5:30-6 p.m.

Atlanta, as of Friday, is currently tied for the eighth position in the Eastern Conference playoff race with New Jersey, who plays Denver tonight at home and travels to Philadelphia on Saturday.

Atlanta Hawks 2008-09 season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting www.hawks.com or calling 1-866-715-1500. The Hawks, a member of the National Basketball Association since 1949, play in the Southeast Division, along with the Charlotte Bobcats, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards.
