Forestar Real Estate Group Names Glenn Cornell Senior Vice President of Economic Development in Georgia

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Forestar Real Estate Group Inc. (NYSE:FOR) today announced that W. Glenn Cornell, former Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, has joined Forestar Real Estate Group as its Senior Vice President of Economic Development in Georgia. In this position, he will direct Forestar’s economic development initiatives statewide, as well as assist with various government affairs.

Mr. Cornell is a past president of the Georgia Economic Developers Association, and is active in the Southern Industrial Development Council and the American Economic Development Council. He is a past chairman of the Economic Developers Roundtable, the Economic Development Council of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and an alumnus of Leadership Georgia. His corporate, academic, and community board appointments include past president of the Atlanta Athletic Club, past vice chairman of the Board of Directors of Communities in Schools of Georgia, past president of the Georgia State Golf Association, member of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, past chairman of the Chick-fil-A Bowl and current chairman of the Berry College Board of Trustees.
