DAR Announces Northwest Division Winner of the DAR Good Citizens Scholarship Essay

The Augustin Clayton Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution in Jonesboro, GA announced at its annual Awards tea at the National Archives, Southeast Region in Morrow, Ga. that Megan Bloomquist of Jonesboro High School was named the winner of the Augustin Clayton Cahpter Daughters of the American Revolution scholarship essay contest.
She was also selected as the Northwest Division winner of the scholarship essay contest.

Miss Bloomquist is now one of four finalists for the State of Georgia with the winner of the Georgia Society DAR to be announced in March at the state conference. Megan Bloomquist is a Senior at Jonesboro High School.

The Augustin Clayton Chapter DAR has members from Clayton, Fayette, and Henry Counties. The DAR is open to any woman 18 years sor older who can trace her lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution.
